The league was started in 1990 by Chris Lowe and Bernie McManus. From 1991 there were two divisions, with the Knockout Competition starting 1995. I started playing in 2001 when there were three divisions and about 30 teams.
I started running the league in 2012. Most of the data prior to that is lost, save for the names on the trophies, and the division three trophies seem to have disappeared altogether. The history below is a patchwork of all that I have been able to cobble together.
If anyone knows where the Division Three trophies are they can contact me. I imagine they are in a pub's trophy cabinet somewhere, gathering dust.
